A Quick Design Journey
Recently, I had the opportunity to design a logo for a media company #proficients in just one hour. The project was an urgent call from a friend, and it was a fantastic challenge to deliver high-quality design under tight deadlines. Below, I’ll walk you through the creative process and the final results that led to one of the logos being accepted as their new media branding identity.
The Challenge:
When I received the request, I knew I had to come up with something that would visually represent the essence of the media company. As a media production company, the logo needed to be versatile and modern, symbolizing both the production and consumption of media.
The client was looking for two variations:
- A design symbolizing media production.
- A design that represents media consumption or the streaming experience.
With these directions in mind, I brainstormed concepts that would convey both of these elements.
The Design Process:
Variation 1: Media Production – A Window
For this concept, I wanted to emphasize the creation and production side of media. “window” shapes were used to symbolize a space through which content is created and displayed. This idea spoke to the behind-the-scenes aspect of media production, from editing to scripting.

Variation 2: Media Consumption – A Play Screen
For the second variation, I focused on media consumption, which is often represented by the play button in the center of a screen. This symbol is widely recognized as the gateway to viewing or streaming content, and I used it to create a dynamic and recognizable logo.

The Final Choice:
Out of the two designs, the one with Play button was selected as the official branding identity for the company. This logo perfectly aligned with the client’s vision and spoke directly to their target audience, who are focused on media.
Conclusion:
Creating a logo in such a short amount of time was both exciting and challenging, but it was ultimately rewarding to see the final design take shape. The client was happy with the final result, and it was a great experience to work under a tight deadline.
